Explore the possibilities of additive manufacturing

On 7 October, Sandbacka Science Park is hosting a workshop at Begner in Falun.

On-demand manufacturing is about more than 3D printing. By producing spare parts and components when they are needed, companies can shorten lead times, reduce inventory requirements and create more flexible production.

During the day, you will gain a better understanding of additive manufacturing and on-demand production and explore how the technology can be applied in your own operations.

You will get an introduction to additive manufacturing, different technologies, materials and process steps. The workshop will also include practical examples of how a spare part can be scanned to create a CAD model, as well as an introduction to reverse engineering and digital inventories.

After lunch, we will focus on WAAM, Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing, and show how the technology is used in practice. We will also present what we can do in our workshop, from testing and prototyping to repairs and small-series production.

The workshop is aimed at small and medium-sized companies that want to explore how additive manufacturing and on-demand production can be used in their own operations.
